Ruff, ruff! Hello and welcome to my blog. After hanging up my reporter's hat a few years ago, I have been inspired to write again thanks to my mischievous menagerie of pets, which I affectionately call "Bindi's herd". Bindi is an Australian cattle dog mix whom I rescued about five years ago from a kill shelter. Australian cattle dogs, or heelers, were bred to rustle up cattle or sheep. They need to be independent, stubborn, and intelligent to master their herd. Well, for my Bindi, I don't have any sheep or cows for her to boss around or keep in line.
